Theodore, AL – Bellingrath Gardens and Home is proud to announce R. Preston Bolt, Jr. as a new Trustee for the Bellingrath-Morse Foundation.  Bolt joined the Board at the recent meeting held on Tuesday, April 27th.  Bellingrath Executive Director Dr. William E. Barrick said, “The employees of Bellingrath Gardens and Home look forward to working with Preston to continue to preserve and enhance the legacy of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath”.

 

Bolt is a member and the managing lawyer of the law firm Hand Arendall LLC.  His practice is devoted primarily to public finance and commercial financing transactions.  He has represented both government bodies and private companies in connection with economic development and incentives. 

 

Bolt is a native of Anniston, Alabama and a graduate of the University of Alabama and the Vanderbilt University School of Law.   He is a member of the Alabama State Bar and the National Association of Bond Lawyers, is a regular panelist at the NABL Bond Attorneys Workshop and is a Fellow of the American College of Bond Counsel.  He is a past Chairman of the Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce and of Leadership Alabama and a past President of the Mobile Area Education Foundation.  He presently serves on the boards of the Public Affairs Research Council of Alabama, Leadership Alabama, the A+ Education Foundation, Mobile United, the Mobile Public Library, the Salvation Army Mobile Area Command and the Mobile Area Education Foundation.
