NR - Mobile's History in Architecture - January 15, 2010 Print E-mail

Theodore, Alabama  -  Visitors to Bellingrath Gardens and Home's Winter Wednesday program will learn about Mobile's seven historic districts and some of the significant buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places from L. Craig Roberts, Architect AIA.  The program will be held in the Magnolia Cafe and begin at 10:30 a.m.  Reservations are requested.  

 

Roberts, a graduate of Auburn University School of Architecture, has practiced architecture in Mobile, Alabama for over 30 years and has completed more than 140 residential projects along the Gulf Coast. An architect since 1979, Roberts has designed a variety of homes, from contemporary waterfront homes to elaborate traditional mansions. His projects have been featured in Southern Living, Southern Accents, Better Homes and Gardens and on HGTV.  Roberts also offers presentation tours of the History of Mobile in its Architecture.   

 

All Winter Wednesday programs are free for Members and $11 for non-members which includes Gardens admission for the day of the program.  There are additional charges to tour the Bellingrath Museum Home.
