Hot Air Balloons Invited to Participate in Annual Balloon Glow

Calling all area Hot Air Balloonist!  You are invited to participate in Bellingrath Gardens and Home’s 3rd Annual Balloon Glow in the Gardens on Saturday, October 27, 2007.   Your balloon can be one of the stars of this year’s unique event.

The Balloon Glow in the Gardens is held in the heart of Bellingrath Gardens, The Great Lawn.  Balloons will be tethered on the Great Lawn during the evening of the event from 5:00 -7:00 p.m.   Families bring their children to trick-or-treat, see our Scarecrow Contest participants and watch your wonderful balloons glow.

Following the public event, we will have a gumbo dinner for the balloon crews. The newly renovated RiverView Plaza Hotel in downtown Mobile has graciously donated a room for each balloon crew on the night of October 27th.   We will provide each participating balloonist with $100 to help with the cost of fuel for your balloon.

This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your balloon in the Mobile community.  Hot Air Balloon participants will be key components of promotional pre-events and publicity.  Please check your calendar, send in your reservation form, and join us for great evening of fun.   We estimate that The Great Lawn can hold up to ten (10) hot air balloons, please send in your reservation as quickly as possible to be included in this year’s event.
