Don’t Miss the Fall Festival Family Fun Day at Bellingrath Gardens and Home!

Theodore, AL – Bellingrath Gardens and Home’s Fall Festival Family Fun Day is Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 11 AM to 3 PM.    The Family Fun Day will feature scavenger hunts, children’s Take-Home-A-Plant, art projects by the University of South Alabama’s Education Department and stories with a craft project by the Mobile Public Library. 

A special feature of this year’s event is the Kid’s Kruise at noon aboard the Southern Belle River Cruiser.  Reservations are required for this special lunch cruise along the beautiful Fowl River.  Admission to the Gardens and lunch is included in the cruise price of $25 for adults, $15.50 for children 5-12 and $5 for children under 5.  Space is limited so call 251.973.2217 ext. 110 to make reservations.

Family Fun Day is the official kick off to Bellingrath’s annual Mum Festival, the largest outdoor display of cascading Chrysanthemums in the United States.  The Mum Festival continues from November 3 – 22 and will peak during the 2nd and 3rd weeks of November.
